2008 hey all--- indeed, i hope this note here finds you well. alas, 2008 has already been a heck of a year. family death, home center issues, departures of friends and bandmates---all occurring seemingly within seconds of each other. sorry, forgive me--i don't intend to whine--but my oh my. ever find yourself in situations where you're doing the best you know how with the most life experience you can scrape up, with the best survival skills you can scrape up, and yet end up being incredibly disappointed in yourself? again, sorry for coming across as whining....really at this point, there's no place to go but up, right? ;) but indeed...a challenging, difficult, hard-to-breathe, heck of a year so far. but hey, we are all human (imperfect), right? we try, try, we screw up and hopefully recover and survive. i'd like to survive... in light of all this, i do find myself quite blessed with steady-on compassionate friends and family. and yes, music...thank you God for music... would love to see you at a show---perhaps we'll chat and we can swap survival stories. love, blessings, courage to you, wendy Dec. 23, 2007 HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU ALL! Hope you are doing great and having a fun summer so far! Quick show update: this weekend's THREE-PEAT has been demoted to a TWO-FER! The SoCal Rockfest in Ramona event was pulled. If you were planning on going, my sincerest apologies. To quote quote Ed, "There must have been a vast conspiracy to stop the ROCKSPLOSION that would have surely occurred when we hit the stage." And now....for NOT THE BEST "SURGERY" NEWS: My mom, who lives in Denver, CO., is going to have surgery next week to remove a malignant tumor from her leg. She has asked me to go and help her; of course i will. This also required a need to cancel a couple shows originally scheduled for next week (the Rolling Hills school auction and the COTA benefit). I never, ever cancel shows, however this is an obvious exception. Any good thoughts/prayers for the momfest would be muchly, muchly appreciated.
